Ryoji Ikeda (Gifu, Japan, 1966) is a composer and visual artist known for presenting live performances and installations based in physical phenomena and mathematical notions, immersive works of art that turn data sequences into images and sounds. House of Electronic Arts, an arts space in Basel, Switzerland, recently opened a solo exhibition of his work that will be on display until March 2015.
